The Tour:
See London’s highlights in a traditional black taxi followed by a fabulous 3 course lunch in the world’s most famous department store – Harrods. The tour departs from your hotel and your cabbie will take you on a journey past all of London’s iconic landmarks including Big, Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and the London Eye. Your driver, who is also a qualified guide, will explain to you the history of our fascinating city and give you plenty of time to stop and take photos.
A drive through Trafalgar square passing Nelson’s column and on down the Royal Mall (which is out of bounds to all other tourist transport,) is an absolute treat. The Mall boasts spectacular views of Horseguards Parade, Admiralty Arch and
Buckingham
Palace
, the official residence of the Queen. The tour then continues past Hyde Park to Knightsbridge, home to some of London’s most exclusive flagship shops including Harvey Nichols with their spectacular window displays and delivering you to Harrods.
Make your way to the fourth floor Georgian Restaurant - the epitome of elegant dining and as much an institution as the store itself. The classic two course buffet offers a delicious carvery of roasted meats that typically include prime rib of beef and Welsh lamb plus a delicious salmon en croute, served with a lobster sauce. For dessert, indulge in a traditional selection from the celebrated Pâtissiere of Harrods, followed by coffee and petit fours. If you’re still felling hungry don’t worry – the waiters will invite you to go back for a second helping! Please remember to dress smartly for this unique experience. The tour ends at Harrods leaving you the rest of the day to enjoy the fabulous store. (Minimum 2 persons per taxi)
