TRIP ITINERARY

St Paul’s Cathedral – First Entry of the Day

Begin your day at St Paul’s Cathedral, where we’ll be among the first to enter, avoiding the queues for an in-depth guided tour. This architectural masterpiece by Sir Christopher Wren has played a central role in many historic events, including the wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana in 1981, and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee service in 2012. During our visit, you'll explore the awe-inspiring interior, including the tombs of Admiral Nelson and the Duke of Wellington.

Buckingham Palace & Changing of the Guard - Subject to availability

Next, we head to Buckingham Palace, the official London residence and administrative headquarters of the British monarch. It served as the home and working headquarters of the late Queen Elizabeth II and continues to hold this role under King Charles III. This iconic landmark remains a powerful symbol of the British monarchy. When the schedule allows, you will witness the world-famous Changing of the Guard ceremony, as the King's Guards, dressed in their traditional red tunics and bearskin hats, march in perfect unison to the sound of stirring military music. It is a captivating display of British pageantry and tradition.

You will then have free time for lunch, and your guide will be happy to recommend nearby places to eat.

Afternoon: The Tower of London

In the afternoon, we visit the Tower of London, a historic fortress built in 1066 by William the Conqueror. As one of London’s most iconic landmarks, it has served as a royal palace, a prison, and the home of the Crown Jewels. Our expert guide will bring its dramatic history to life with fascinating stories of intrigue, imprisonment, and royal tradition. You’ll have plenty of time to admire the Crown Jewels, explore the White Tower, and wander the grounds at your own pace. Be sure to visit the infamous Bloody Tower, known for its dark history and mysterious disappearances, as well as the Traitor’s Gate, through which many prisoners entered the fortress.

Private Thames River Cruise – Exclusive to Premium Tours

We end the day with a private extended boat trip along the River Thames, exclusive to Premium Tours. As we cruise down the river, you’ll enjoy outstanding views of some of London’s most iconic landmarks, including Tower Bridge, the Shard, St Paul’s Cathedral, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, and the Houses of Parliament. All the while, your guide will provide entertaining and informative commentary, bringing London’s riverside history to life.

The tour concludes at the London Eye. You can choose to upgrade your experience by adding a flight on the London Eye, or by enjoying a classic Cream Tea at Harrods. For the Harrods option, please select the tour titled “Magic of London.”
